About This Book
Al-Muwaṭṭaʾ or Muwatta Imam Malik of Imam Malik (711–795), written in the 8th century, is one of the earliest collections of hadith texts comprising the subjects of Islamic law, compiled by Malik ibn Anas. It is also the earliest extant example of a musannaf, a genre of hadith compilation that arranges hadith topically.
